Any candidates who have completed 10+2 or equivalent from the Science Stream (Biological Group) securing a minimum 'C' grade in all subjects of Grade 11 and 12 are eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biology program of Tribhuvan University. 

Candidates who have finished 10+ 2 or equivalent with a minimum 'C' grade in all subjects of Grade 11 and 12 and 200 Full Marks in Mathematics are eligible for admission to Tribhuvan University's Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Statistics program.

Admission criteria

A student who seeks admission to B.Sc. program:

Must appear in an entrance examination of two hours duration conducted by Central Campus of Technology, Institute of Science and Technology (IOST), TU.

Candidates securing at least 50% marks in the entrance examination are eligible to admit in the program.

The selection of the students for admission will be based as per the merit of the entrance examination.

Candidate must comply with all the application procedures.

Candidates who have finished 10+ 2 or equivalent and have received a minimum 'C' grade in all subjects of Grade 11 and 12 with 200 Full Marks of Mathematics are eligible for admission to Tribhuvan University's Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Mathematics.

• You must have completed 10+2/A Level or equivalent in science stream from a recognized board or university.
• Pass the entrance exam conducted by Tribhuvan University with a good mark to get your name on the college merit list.

Any candidates who have completed 10+ 2 or equivalent securing minimum 'C' grade in all subjects of Grade 11 and 12 are eligible for admission in Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Biology program of Tribhuvan University.

Students possessing a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in economics from TU or any other university recognized by TU are eligible to apply for the M.A. programme. Students with backgrounds in mathematics, statistics, and management may also apply.

Student must pass the entrance exam and admission is based on merit. 

A student holding a Bachelor degree in any of the following subjects recognized by Tribhuvan University is considered eligible to apply for admission.

• Anthropology; Sociology; Social Work; Nepalese History, Culture and Archaeology; Psychology; history; Home Science; Geography; Economics; and Political Science

• Any discipline from faculty of education, management and law

• Any discipline from institute of medicine, engineering, forestry, agriculture and animal science

An applicant seeking admission to M.A. Anthropology must appear in an Entrance Examination of one hour’s duration conducted by the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Tribhuvan University. The applicant who fails to appear in the Entrance Examination or to obtain a minimum qualifying score will not be given admission. Admission of the students will be based strictly on the merit list and on the enrollment capacity of the Central Department of Sociology/Campus.

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible for admission:

• Hold a B.Sc. degree in Geology from Tribhuvan University or from another recognized institution deemed equivalent.

• Have completed the prescribed geological field training during their B.Sc. program.

Admissions to Master in Psychology is open to the following students:

1. Humanities and Social Sciences:

• a. Bachelors in Arts (BA) with psychology major

• b. Post Graduate Diploma in Counseling Psychology (PGDCP)

• c. Bachelors in Film Studies (BFS)

• d. Bachelors in Social Work (BSW), with at least 3 credits or 100 mark course in general psychology

2. Science:

• BSc and equivalent

3. Management(with condition):

• a. Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA)

• b. BBA – Banking and Insurance (BBA-BI)

• c. BBA – Travel and Tourism (BBA-TT)

• d. Bachelors in Conflict, Peace and Development (BCPD)

• e. Bachelors in Information Management (BIM)

• f. Bachelors in Business Information System (BBIS)

• g. Bachelors in Hotel Management (BHM)

• h. Bachelors in Health Care Management (BHCM)

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

• Must have secured at least second division in the Bachelor's degree

• Degree must be from a university recognized by Tribhuvan University

Note: Students from management and other non-psychology backgrounds must have completed at least 3 credits or a 100-mark course in General Psychology (core psychology course).

• The students should have completed a higher secondary level degree (+2, PCL, or any) in any of the subjects recognized by Tribhuvan University.
• Students need to appear in the entrance examination conducted by Tribhuvan University (for selected programs).

• Completion of Grade 12 in any discipline from a recognized institution.

A student holding a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following subjects recognized by Tribhuvan University is considered eligible to apply for admission:

• Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Nepalese History, Culture and Archaeology, Psychology, History, Home Science, Geography, Economics, and Political Science

• Any discipline from faculty of Education, Management, and Law

• Any discipline from institute of Medicine, Engineering, Forestry, Agriculture, and Animal Science

An applicant seeking admission to M.A. Sociology must appear in an Entrance Examination of one hour’s duration conducted by the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Tribhuvan University.

The M.A. Nepali program is open to applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree from any university recognized by Tribhuvan University, regardless of their subject of study.

Any candidates who have completed 10+ 2 or equivalent securing minimum 'C' grade in all subjects of Grade 11 and 12 are eligible for admission in Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Biology program of Tribhuvan University. 

Admission criteria:

A student seeking admission to the B.Sc. program:

Must take a two-hour admission test offered by the Institute of Science and Technology (IOST), TU.
Candidates who score at least 50% on the entrance test are eligible to enroll in the program.
Students will be admitted based on the basis of their entrance examination scores.
Candidate must follow all application processes.

• You must have completed 10+2/A Level or equivalent (with Math) from a recognized board or university.
• You must have obtained a minimum of Grade C/ Second Division.
• Pass the entrance exam conducted by Tribhuvan University with a good mark to get your name on the college merit list.

• You must have completed 10+2/A Level or equivalent (with Biology as a major subject) from a recognized board or university.
• Pass the entrance exam conducted by Tribhuvan University with a good mark to get your name on the college merit list.

The candidate who have passed B. Sc. Degree with major in chemistry from TribhuvanUniversity or have received equivalent degree with chemistry as major from anotheruniversity recognized by Tribhuvan University shall be considered eligible to apply foradmission to M. Sc. Chemistry.

Admission Criteria:

An applicant seeking admission to M. Sc. Chemistry must appear in an EntranceExamination of two hours duration conducted by the Institute of Science andTechnology, Central Department of Chemistry, Tribhuvan University. The applicant whofails to appear in the Entrance Examination or to obtain a minimum qualifying score willnot be given admission.

A merit list of the qualified applicants will be prepared on thebasis of marks obtained by them in the entrance examination. Admission of the studentswill be based strictly on the merit list and on the enrollment capacity of the CentralDepartment of Chemistry and other Campuses.

Candidates having a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology from Tribhuvan University or equivalent degree recognized by Tribhuvan University are eligible to apply for the M. Sc. Microbiology programme. Each applicant should appear and pass entrance examination conducted by the Central Department of Microbiology. The enrollment will be based on merit. The candidates failed to get minimum qualifying marks/pass marks in the entrance examination will not be enrolled in the program.
