To be eligible for admission, candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. In addition, applicants are required to take an admission test as part of the selection process.

To be eligible for the admission to the Master Program, a candidate must have passed BE (Civil) or equivalent.

1. Have undergraduate grades significantly above average and not less than the prescribed by the faculty board of IOE, and
2. Secure minimum score, as prescribed by the Faculty Board of IOE, in the entrance test conducted by the Entrance Board of IOE (or as recommended by special entrance committee for Foreign students)
3. Note: Equivalence means the same kind of degree obtained from institutes other than TU and recognized by TU as the equivalent to the degree provided by TU in the same discipline.

The candidate must have completed a BE Civil or equivalent from a recognized board by Tribhuvan University.

• Bachelor’s in Engineering (BE) in any field except B.Architecture,
  OR

• 4-year B.Sc. degree with Major in Mathematics or Physics,
  OR

• 4-year BA degree with Major in Mathematics,
  OR

• MA or M.Sc. degree (for candidates who have completed a 3-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent).

• You should have completed your +2 education from a science background or equivalent.
• You should have scored a C in total in each subject of Class 11 and Class 12 with mathematics and physics 100 marks or 45% in total.
• At last, you must pass the entrance exam with a good score to get your name on the merit list of the college you are interested in.

• A four-year bachelor's degree in engineering, with a focus on electrical engineering or its equivalent, is required for entrance to the M.Sc. program in distributed generation engineering.
  Obtain a minimum score on the entrance exam administered by the IOE Entrance Board (or as advised by the special entrance committee for foreign students) and have undergraduate grades that are both significantly above average and not below the minimum required by the IOE Faculty Boar
  

• A candidate must have completed four years of undergraduate study in engineering, agriculture, forestry, or science in order to be eligible for admission to the master's program.
• Possess undergraduate grades that are both well above and below the IOE faculty board's recommended threshold, as well as obtain the minimum score required by the IOE faculty board for the entrance exam administered by the IOE entrance board (or as suggested by the special entrance committee for foreign students).
  

Note: Equivalence means the same kind of degree obtained from institutes other than TU and recognized by TU as the equivalent to the degree provided by TU in the same discipline.

1. Applicants must have completed a four-year Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a five-year Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Tribhuvan University or any other recognized institution. Degrees must be equivalent to those offered in the specified fields.

2. Candidates must obtain at least the minimum qualifying score set by the Faculty Board in the entrance exam conducted by the Institute of Engineering.

• To be eligible for the admission to the M.Sc in Infrastructure Engineering and Management, a candidate must have passed 4 years B.E. in Civil Engineering/ or equivalent, have undergraduate grades significantly above average and not less than the prescribed by the faculty board of IOE, and
• Secure minimum score, as prescribed by the Faculty Board of IOE, in the entrance test conducted by the Entrance Board of IOE (or as recommended by special entrance committee for Foreign students)

To be eligible for admission, applicants must:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aeronautical, or Automobile Engineering—or an equivalent qualification—from Tribhuvan University or any recognized institution offering equivalent engineering degrees in the stated fields.

• Achieve at least the minimum required score in the entrance examination as determined by the Faculty Board of the Institute of Engineering.

Entrance Examination

The format and content of the entrance exam will be set by the Entrance Examination Board of the Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University.

Selection

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and perform well in the entrance exam will be selected for admission based on merit.

To be eligible for admission to the MSICE program, applicants must:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree (typically a four-year program) in Computer, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering from Tribhuvan University or other recognized universities, or a degree considered equivalent to any of these fields.

• Have undergraduate grades that meet or exceed the minimum standards set by the IOE Faculty Board.

• Obtain the minimum required score in the entrance examination, as specified by the Faculty Board.

Selection:

Applicants who meet all eligibility criteria will be selected based on merit, evaluated through the total marks secured in the entrance exam.

To be eligible for the Master's program, candidates must have completed a 4-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science, or hold an M.Sc. in Science following a 3-year Bachelor's degree.

Applicants must have secured undergraduate grades that are well above average, meeting the standards set by the IOE Faculty Board.

Candidates must achieve the minimum score required in the entrance examination, as determined by the IOE Faculty Board and conducted by the IOE Entrance Board (or recommended by a special entrance committee for international applicants).

Note: Equivalent degrees refer to those earned from institutions other than TU but officially recognized by Tribhuvan University as comparable to its own degrees in the same field.

To be eligible for admission to IOE, applicants must have significantly above-average undergraduate grades and a minimum score in the Entrance Board's test (or as recommended by a special committee for foreign students).
Note: Equivalence refers to the same type of degree received from institutions other than TU and recognized by TU as comparable to the degree offered by TU in the same subject.

To qualify for admission into the Master's Program, applicants must have completed a B.Arch., BE (Civil), M.A. (Geography), or an equivalent degree.

1. Applicants must have achieved undergraduate grades that are well above average and meet the minimum standard set by the IOE faculty board.

2. Applicants must also obtain the minimum score required by the IOE Faculty Board in the entrance examination conducted by the IOE Entrance Board (or as recommended by a special committee for international candidates).

Note: An equivalent degree refers to one obtained from institutions other than Tribhuvan University but officially recognized by TU as being of equal academic value in the relevant discipline.

• To qualify for admission into this Master’s program, applicants must have completed a BE in Civil Engineering or an equivalent degree.
• Candidates should have achieved above-average undergraduate grades, meeting at least the minimum standard set by the Faculty Board of IOE, and must secure the required score in the entrance examination conducted by the IOE Entrance Board (or as per the recommendation of the special entrance committee for foreign students).
• Note:“Equivalent degree” refers to a qualification earned from an institution other than TU, but recognized by TU as comparable to its Civil Engineering degree.

Program Entry Requirements

In order to be eligible for admission for the Master of Science Program in Technology and Innovation Management (TIM), a candidate must:

• Have a Bachelors' Degree in Engineering (normally from a Four Year Program) from Tribhuvan University or its equivalent from an institution of recognized standing.

• Have undergraduate grades significantly above average and not less than prescribed by the Faculty Board of the Institute of Engineering.

• Have at least 2 years of relevant working experience after graduation.

• Submit a recommendation made by two referees, who should be from:

  • the employer where the candidate worked, and/or

  • The concerned teaching faculty from where the candidate received the Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

    
    

Selection

Candidates fulfilling the Program Entry Requirements will be selected for admission on the basis of merit based on TIM Entrance Test.
