The Institute of Engineering at Tribhuvan University launched a two-year full-time Master's program in Mechanical Engineering, titled M.Sc. in Mechanical Systems Design and Engineering (MS-MSDE), starting from April/May 2017. The program is offered under the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Pulchowk Campus, Lalitpur, Nepal.
Eligibility is open to candidates who have completed a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Automobile, or Aeronautical Engineering, or any equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering.
This program is designed to enhance students' analytical and critical thinking abilities while providing in-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering methods, tools, and techniques. Students will explore their practical applications, conduct research in areas such as mechanical design, computational and numerical methods, energy systems, materials and mechanics, HVAC systems, automotive and heavy machinery, aerospace and aviation, project planning, industrial techniques, and management. The curriculum emphasizes innovation and progressive learning approaches.
