Gandaki Medical College

• To be eligible, candidates must have passed 10+2 Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum of 50% aggregate or GPA 2.4 or equivalent.
• Or,
• they must have secured a percentage equivalent to the above eligibility in certificate level programs (e.g. A-Level) with different grading systems.
  To qualify, all candidates must score at least the 50th percentile or higher on the admission examination.
  

• They must have earned a Certificate in Pharmacy from the Institute of Medicine (IOM) or a university accredited by Tribhuvan University (TU). OR,
  
  They must have completed the I.SC. or 10+2 (Biology Group) or an equivalent degree from a board, institution, or university recognized by Tribhuvan University (TU).
  
  They must have received a minimum of 50% in the I.SC., 10+2, Certificate in Pharmacy, or its equivalent.
  
  Candidates with an I.S.C. or 10+2 science background should not be older than 25. There is, however, no age limit for students who hold a Certificate in Pharmacy.
  

• The candidate should have Passed 10+2 Science containing Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum of 50% aggregate in total marks or GPA 2.4 or equivalent
  OR
  Secured the Percentage equivalent to above eligibility in regards to the certificate level programs (eg. A-Level) with different grading system.
• All candidates should secure at least 50th percentile or above in the entrance examination to qualify.

• The candidate should have Passed 10+2 Science containing Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum of 50% aggregate in total marks or GPA 2.4 or equivalent
  OR
  Secured the Percentage equivalent to above eligibility in regards to the certificate level programs (eg. A-Level) with different grading system.
• All candidates should secure at least 50th percentile or above in the entrance examination to qualify.

Candidate must have passed Proficiency Certificate Level Nursing with 50% or CGPA 2.4 in aggregate from a recognized institute. Candidate must be registered in Nepal Nursing Council and should have at least 1 year experience in nursing practice after registration. Students for the program are selected according to the merit list of entrance examination conducted by Institute of Medicine.

• Must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized educational institution and passed with a minimum of 50 percent or 2.4 CGPA in the proficiency certificate level or Grade 12 Science group.
• or
• Students from A-level or other similar programs with different grading systems should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects and passed with a minimum of 50 percent or 2.4 CGPA.
• or
• Proficiency Certificate or Diploma in Health Science (General Medicine or Medical Lab Technology or Ophthalmic Science or Dental Science or Pharmacy or Radiography or Ayurveda or Physiotherapy) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and passed in Physics, Chemistry and Biology from the National Examination Board Must have obtained at least 50% or 2.4 CGPA marks and have obtained the equivalence of Grade 12th Science group and should be registered in the respective council.

• The candidate should have Passed 10+2 Science containing Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum of 50% aggregate in total marks or GPA 2.4 or equivalent
  OR
  Secured the Percentage equivalent to above eligibility in regards to the certificate level programs (eg. A-Level) with different grading system.
• All candidates should secure at least 50th percentile or above in the entrance examination to qualify.

Age:

Candidate's age must be a minimum of 17 years completed and maximum of 30 years not exceeded.

Qualification:

i)

• Intermediate in science or equivalent qualification from universities recognized by Tribhuvan University within or outside Nepal with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as main subjects,
  or

• Ten plus two (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as principal subjects.

ii)

• The candidate must have secured not less than 50% of marks on the aggregate of the above subjects.

Candidates other than those mentioned above will not be eligible to apply for the BDS program.

Selection Criteria:

i)

• The selection of students will be done on a merit basis in the competitive entrance examination.

ii)

• Entrance examination will consist of three papers:

A candidate must secure:

• At least 50% marks in Paper I

• 60% marks in Paper II

• Aggregate of 60% in Paper I and II combined

• 60% marks in Paper III

Candidates scoring 60% overall will have their names entered into the merit list.

• MBBS or equivalent from institutions recognized by the government of Nepal.
• Registered in Nepal Medical Council.
• Registered in the respective medical council of the applicant's own country for foreign candidates.
• One year experience (Except for MDGP and MD/MS in Basic Medical Sciences excluded).
• Candidates should score a minimum of 50% (Pass marks) in the Entrance Examination conducted by Medical Education Commission for being eligible to be on the merit list.

• MBBS or equivalent from institutions recognized by the government of Nepal.
• Registered in Nepal Medical Council.
• Registered in the respective medical council of the applicant's own country for foreign candidates.
• One year experience (Except for MDGP and MD/MS in Basic Medical Sciences excluded).
• Candidates should score a minimum of 50% (Pass marks) in the Entrance Examination conducted by Medical Education Commission for being eligible to be on the merit list.

• Registered in the respective medical council of the applicant's own country for foreign candidates.
• One year experience (Except for MDGP and MD/MS in Basic Medical Sciences excluded).
• Candidates should score a minimum of 50% (Pass marks) in the Entrance Examination conducted by Medical Education Commission for being eligible to be on the merit list.

International students should have an eligibility certificate from the concerned authority of their country, a valid student visa (if visa is required to stay in Nepal) and eligibility certificate issued by IoM or Ministry of Education of Nepal.

To get the admission in this programme, along with all other academic documents and proof of nationality, Indian candidate should also submit eligibility certificate issued from Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi, India before admission.

• Academic qualification in Bachelor in Health Science in any of the following subjects: Public Health, Public Health Nutrition, Nutrition and Health, Pharmacy, Medical Biochemistry, Medical laboratory, Health Promotion and Education, Optometry Education, Epidemiology, Radiography, Environmental health, Occupational Health, Post graduate diploma in health Promotion and Education, Nursing, Speech, Audiology language, Medicine and Surgery, Physiotherapy, Pathology, Dentistry and Veterinary Science.
• Applicant with above degrees must be registered in a relevant professional council related to their bachelor degree.
• One year work experience in health sector after bachelor degree in above-mentioned subjects.
• Candidates should pass the entrance examination of Institute of Medicine.

Eligible candidates should appear for the entrance exam conducted by IOM, Exam section and the merit list will be published based on the marks secured in the entrance examination. The candidate selection and admission will then be done following the guidelines set by IOM.

• MBBS or equivalent degree in allopathic medicine from a recognized university.
• Full registration with Nepal Medical Council.
• A one-year work experience in any institution approved by IOM for such purpose.
• Passing of post graduate entrance examination and selection as per the merit list of the result.

Eligible candidates should appear for the entrance exam conducted by IOM (It is conducted tentatively on the month of Bhadra according to Nepalese calendar), Exam section and the merit list will be published based on the marks secured in the entrance examination. The candidate selection and admission will then be done following the guidelines set by IOM (on merit basis and post-counseling sessions held by IOM).

• The candidate must be have passed MBBS or its equivalent from any recognized university and must have complete compulsory rotating internship.
• Must have appropriate registration with the Nepal Medical Council.
• Must have a post internship working experience of one year in a recognized hospital.

• MBBS or equivalent from institutions recognized by the government of Nepal.
• Registered in Nepal Medical Council.
• Registered in the respective medical council of the applicant's own country for foreign candidates.
• One year experience (Except for MDGP and MD/MS in Basic Medical Sciences excluded).
• Candidates should score a minimum of 50% (Pass marks) in the Entrance Examination conducted by Medical Education Commission for being eligible to be on the merit list.

• Bachelor's degree in related subjects or B.Sc. Medical Lab Technology or BMLT or B.Sc. Laboratory Medicine, MBBS/BDS or its equivalent.
• Registered in respective professional council
• Candidates should score a minimum of 50% marks (Pass marks) in the Entrance Examination conducted by Medical Education Commission for being eligible to be on the merit list.

Eligible candidates should appear for the entrance exam conducted by IOM (It is conducted tentatively on the month of Bhadra according to Nepalese calendar), Exam section and the merit list will be published based on the marks secured in the entrance examination. The candidate selection and admission will then be done following the guidelines set by IOM (on merit basis and post-counseling sessions held by IOM).

• MBBS or equivalent from recognized university with one year compulsory internship.
• Full registration with Nepal Medical Council.
• Minimum one year service in approved health institution.

The candidate must be have passed MBBS or its equivalent from any recognized university and must have complete compulsory rotating internship.

Must have appropriate registration with the Nepal Medical Council.

Must have a post internship working experience of one year in a recognized hospital.

• Candidates must be registered with the Nepal Medical Council.
• New rules or regulations formulated by Tribhuvan University.
• One year experience in any government, university or charitable hospital.
