Eligible candidates should appear for the entrance exam conducted by IOM (It is conducted tentatively on the month of Bhadra according to Nepalese calendar), Exam section and the merit list will be published based on the marks secured in the entrance examination. The candidate selection and admission will then be done following the guidelines set by IOM (on merit basis and post-counseling sessions held by IOM).
This rotation schedule attempts to provide trainers with experience in fundamental areas of knowledge as skill development prior to becoming involved in work experiences outside the Kathmandu valley.

The overall assessment shall be based on the combination of the on going internal assessment as well as three annual examination.
Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic illnesses
Provide holistic and continuous patient care
Perform minor procedures and emergency care
Promote preventive healthcare and lifestyle counseling
Coordinate referrals and follow-up care
Manage community and primary healthcare services
Communicate effectively with patients and families
Prepare for roles in clinics, hospitals, or rural health posts
The learner will be able to fulfill goals in clinical, management, training, communication, preventive/community health, and professional performance after completing the MDGP.
