Lumbini Engineering College

Lumbini Engineering College (LEC) was established in 2000 AD. It is located in Tilottama-7, Bhalwari (Rupandehi) Nepal. It was started by a team of people with extensive knowledge and dedication to contemporary, scientific, and technical education to decentralize engineering education and eliminate the need for technical education overseas.

As a result of this academic expansion, this umbrella institution established Lumbini Engineering Management & Science College (Affiliated to Pokhara University) to run Master’s and Bachelor of Engineering Level programs, while restricting Lumbini Engineering College (Affiliated to CTEVT) to Diploma Level Programs only.

The institute is located west of the Siddhartha highway, between the fast-growing towns of Butwal and Bhairahawa, near Bhalwari, Karahiya VDC, Rupandehi. It is 12 kilometers from Butwal and 11 kilometers from Bhairahawa. It is acquiring 2.5 Bighaha of land here to build its physical and academic infrastructures.

Objectives

LEC was founded with the goal of generating skilled and competent graduate engineers by providing a quality education with high technical proficiency. LEC’s objectives include the following:

• Developing competent, skilled human resources is the area of engineering. 
• To influence a range of long-term and short-term training programs in various industries.
• By raising the standard of education, to create a healthy, honorable, and achievement-focused academic atmosphere.
• In the areas of engineering and socio-economic development, to offer technical help and consulting services.
• To carry out studies and training programs for development initiatives.
• To create a research and development center for education in Nepal’s western region.
• To offer competent human resources a fantastic work opportunity.
