Eligibility

Bachelor Courses

  • Grades in 11th and 12th grade must be at least D with a CGPA of 1.6 or higher. Or,
  • 40% marks in 10+2, PCL, or an equivalent grade in any discipline are the required minimum. Or,
  • For A-level students, the qualifying requirements are three Advance courses with at least a 50% aggregate score and an English paper that will not be considered in computing the score.
  • Kathmandu University Undergraduate Management Admission Test (KUUMAT) score of 50% or above.
  • After completing the KUUMAT with the requisite score, you must achieve a 50 percentile or above in analytical writing and a personal interview.

Master Courses

  • The candidate must have completed a 3-year or more Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 45% or GPA of 2.0.

Scholarship

KU SOM Scholarship:

This scholarship is awarded to one MBA student from a cohort of 24. It is accessible upon submission of the Financial Aid Form, together with the required documentation, at the time of admission. After reviewing the paperwork and interviewing the candidates, the School’s Admission and Examination Committee decides to give the scholarship based on need.

To continue earning this scholarship, the student must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.3 in consecutive semesters. This award includes a full or partial tuition and fee waiver.

Juddha Bahadur Scholarship:

This scholarship is funded by the interest collected on Mr. Juddha Bahadur Shrestha’s money. Every year, one or more students win this award, which includes a complete or partial remission of tuition and other expenses, depending on the availability of funds.

Procedures for Application and Awarding of Scholarships:

  1. During the admissions period, general information on scholarships and financial programs will be released.
  2. The application form will be issued throughout the online admissions process.
  3. The application form, along with any other supporting papers, must be sent in the manner provided in the Financial Support Scheme form.
  4. The candidate will be interviewed during the admissions period.
  5. The scholarship/financial support will be awarded before the candidate is admitted to the program.
  6. The University reserves the right to choose the best candidate from among the applicants.

Kathmandu University School of Management, shortly known as KUSOM college is located in Pinchhe Tole, Sasatancha, Balkumari, Lalitpur, Nepal. It was established in August 1993 as the first school to launch a graduate program in Kathmandu University. It was also the first one to initiate a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in the country based on internationally- followed design principles and structure.
