Eligibility
BE Programs
- Candidates must have passed the NEB Class 12 examination or an equivalent level test from a recognized academic institution.
- Candidates must have completed at least one course in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (with at least 100 full marks or 5 credits).
- Candidates must have a minimum of 45% or a CGPA/GPA of 2.0 (on a scale of 4.0) and at least Grade C (or Grade D in the case of A-level) or 45% in each subject (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).
- Pass the entrance exam conducted by the college.
MSc. ISE
- The candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Software, Computer, Electronics and Communication, Information, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 2.0 CGPA.
- Pass the entrance exam conducted by the college.
Scholarship
Gandaki College of Engineering and Science (GCES) is a non-profit institution that provides financial aid to academically gifted and underprivileged students. Scholarships are given to kids who are academically gifted, and economically underprivileged, but intellectually and self-motivated. These scholarships are awarded mostly based on the scholarship committee’s assessment of candidates’ past academic records and financial requirements.
University (Government) Scholarship
According to government regulations, GCES offers scholarships at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and these scholarship recipients are chosen by Pokhara University.
GCES Scholarship
GCES offers scholarships to intellectually gifted and financially disadvantaged students. These scholarships are given to students who are academically gifted, economically poor, intellectual, and self-motivated and are assessed each semester.
Every year, entrance examination and semester topper students are granted scholarships based on college rules and regulations.
About Gandaki College of Engineering and Science
Gandaki College of Engineering and Science (GCES) is a tertiary education institution located in the lovely city of Pokhara. It was established in 1998 and officially opened in 1999. The college is operated by the non-profit “Gandaki Public Education Trust” and is associated with Pokhara University. It is located on the grounds of the Gandaki Boarding School (GBS) in Lamachaur, Pokhara.
Currently, the institution offers bachelor’s degrees in Software Engineering (B.E. Software) and Computer Engineering (B.E. Computer), as well as a master’s degree in Information System Engineering (M.Sc. ISE). The college is a non-profit organization that is managed by the “Gandaki Public Education Trust” and is owned by Nepal’s Ministry of Education.
With its motto “Knowledge, Character, and Service,” GCES has always been propelled by the objective of becoming a worldwide center of academic achievement.
Their programs equip students for a variety of careers in the fields of computer engineering, software engineering, and information systems engineering. They not only prepare students to excel in their subjects, but they also expose them to a wide range of ideas and information, values, and research skills.
The emphasis on projects and practical applications, in addition to a solid theoretical foundation, distinguishes their academic programs.
