Applicants must hold a four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering—specifically in Civil, Civil and Rural, Hydropower, or Environmental Engineering—or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. A minimum of 45% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 2.0 is required for eligibility. In addition to meeting academic qualifications, candidates must fulfill the requirements of the admission test. Final selection is based on performance in both the entrance examination and interview.

The primary goal of the Master of Science in Sanitary Engineering program is to develop skilled professionals who, through research, knowledge, and practical experience, can play a vital role in improving the sanitation sector in accordance with national needs. The key objectives of the program are:

  • To strengthen the capabilities of current professionals and recent graduates working in the sanitation field.

  • To critically assess the requirements of sanitary engineering and apply them effectively.

  • To examine and interpret national and international policies, laws, and guidelines relevant to sanitation strategy development.

  • To design eco-friendly infrastructure for pollution control and treatment solutions.
