Students who have completed a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent field with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 or equivalent are eligible to apply.
Admission is granted based on performance in the entrance examination, which is conducted by the Student Admission Committee of Pokhara University's Faculty of Science and Technology. The entrance notice is typically published in March each year, and selection is done purely on a merit basis.

The program aims at producing professional engineers with the essential skills required to successfully deal with the technical, social, legal and moral aspects of the practices of Information System Engineering.
