To be eligible for admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program, the applicant must have:
Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) degree
With a minimum B- grade, or
second division in an equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
In addition to this academic qualification, all applicants must also appear for an entrance exam conducted by the Dean’s Office, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FOHSS).

The objectives of the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) at the faculty of Humanitiesand Social Sciences of Tribhuvan University is to prepare human resource for productivecareers in the field of software development, IT Entrepreneur and academic institutions byproviding an outstanding environment for teaching, research and development in the core andemerging trends of the discipline.
Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a 63-credit program. The program is practical aswell as theoretical in nature class load is as specified in the course structure section. Theduration of the program is two years. Each year is divided into two semesters. Semesterduration is 16 weeks of working days for teaching and learning, excluding examinations andother activities.
