Rapti Academy of Health Sciences

The independent Rapti Academy of Health Sciences (RAHS) is dedicated to excellence in research, teaching, and medicine. On October 10, 2017, the legislature-parliament overwhelmingly approved the "Rapti Health Science Academy Bill 2074." when the government decided that each province would have one state-owned medical college. The purpose of the law was to elevate Rapti Sub-regional Hospital to RAHS status in Lumbini province.
