From 1929, when it was known as the "Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana," the Board underwent substantial development and growth to achieve its current standing. 1952 saw the Board adopt its current name, the Central Board of
Education at Secondary School. It was not until 1962 that the Board was reorganized. The primary goals of the Board were to better assist educational institutions and respond to the educational requirements of pupils whose parents held Central Government jobs that were often transferable.
