Tribhuvan University now holds the World Record for the Largest Convocation

Kathmandu | Today, Tribhuvan University held its 49th convocation ceremony at Dasarath Stadium, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu. Over 73,000 students graduated and 12,415 students took the part in the convocation ceremony.

The physical presence of the ceremony was more than 26,000 including graduating students, parents, and guests. With these amazing numbers, Tribhuvan University’s (TU) 49th Convocation ceremony now holds the world record for the Largest Convocation ceremony in terms of graduating students and physical presence.

The ceremony, which was attended by President Ram Chandra Poudel and Prime Minister, as well as Chancellor Pushpa Kamal Dahal, was a watershed moment for the university’s graduates.

Out of 12,415 students who attended TU’s 49th convocation program, 8,098 students graduated with Bachelor’s degrees, 4,104 with Master’s degrees, 44 with MPhil degrees, and 112 with Bachelor’s degrees in various faculties.
