The candidate must have completed a B.Tech. or B.Sc. (Food/Dairy/Bio-Technology), B.Sc. or B.E. Agriculture, B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.Sc. Biochemistry, B.Sc. Microbiology, or an equivalent degree from an accredited university with at least 50% of the possible points or a CGPA of 2.40 (C+ grade) overall.
A candidate for admission must take the Purbanchal University entrance exam. Students are chosen on the basis of merit.
If a student has a foreign certificate, they must produce an equivalent certificate plus a document from the relevant authorities that shows their CGPA or total percentage for each course.

The following are the courses' primary goals:
In-depth theoretical and practical understanding of microbiology, statistics, biochemistry, food chemistry, environmental engineering, dairy/meat processing engineering, product development, and marketing will be imparted to the students.
to visit the industries and provide the students three months of in-plant training in order to give them real-world experience.
to impart expertise in quality evaluation, industry/enterprise management, R&D project planning, and research technique.
The two academic years of the M. Sc. in Dairy Technology will be broken up into four semesters. By the end of the fourth semester, the students must finish their research-based dissertation.
In each course, theory and practical lessons receive 60 and 40 percent of the total weight. For three months, the students must complete in-plant training.
