Far-Western University (FWU) has introduced an interdisciplinary MPhil/Ph.D. program in response to the cross-disciplinary nature of inquiry and discovery. The program will support students in gaining knowledge and abilities for independent investigation on the core problems and experiences of human civilization through frequent and rigorous coursework that spans traditional disciplines. The program's goal is to give self-directed students academic instruction at the highest level of scholarship, which will enhance their capacity to combine theories and concepts from many disciplines employing methodologies, approaches, ethical guidelines, and resources to conduct research.

A master's degree (ideally in education) from Far Western University or any other FWU-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or second division overall is required of applicants. Additionally, candidates must show up for the interview and the written admission exam.

The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Curriculum, Planning and Leadership (CPL) at Far-Western University is an advanced, interdisciplinary research-oriented program focused on curriculum studies, educational planning, administration, and leadership. The program develops advanced research and analytical skills through coursework in curriculum theory, educational planning and management, organizational behavior, educational administration, leadership, diversity, teacher development, and contemporary educational practices, followed by a dissertation.
