The 60-credit Master of Buddhist Studies (MBS) program combines theoretical and practical teaching. Buddhist history, religion, philosophy, literature, art, iconography, architecture, archaeology, script, and understanding of Asian and global faiths are all covered in this curriculum on the fundamentals of religious studies. Other topics covered include research methods, tourism, practice, and field study. It offers students an integrative approach to study as well as information about Nepali Buddhism and the Nepal Mandala for its global traditions.
This course provides a variety of options in the liturgical and religious literary studies fields indicated. From a cultural standpoint, it examines the Buddhist tradition of the Himalayas, the Nepala Mandala, and the Buddhist archaeological sites in Nepal.
