The Bachelor of Optometry (B Optom) program at Tribhuvan University aims to produce competent, community-oriented optometrists capable of providing vision care, identifying ocular and related systemic illnesses for referral to medical practitioners, and adhering to the profession's highest ethical standards.
The Bachelor of Optometry (B. Optom) program includes studies in fundamental physical and biological sciences, optometric sciences such as optics, ocular anatomy and physiology, visual science, ophthalmic optics, ocular pathology, and disorders of the eye and visual system. The last year of the optometry degree consists of a clinical training program that focuses on the practical application of the studies in the care of patients with actual visual disorders.
