Eligibility Criteria

A minimum of 50% in the certificate Final Examination (I. Sc. With Biology) from Tribhuvan University, 10+2 with Biology approved by the Higher Secondary Education Council of Nepal, or A level or equivalent.
Age should not exceed 25 years.
The candidate must pass the admission test administered by the test Control Division of the Institute of Medicine Tribhuvan University. Candidates will be allowed in accordance with the number of seats.

The Bachelor of Optometry (B. Optom) program includes studies in fundamental physical and biological sciences, optometric sciences such as optics, ocular anatomy and physiology, visual science, ophthalmic optics, ocular pathology, and disorders of the eye and visual system. The last year of the optometry degree consists of a clinical training program that focuses on the practical application of the studies in the care of patients with actual visual disorders.
