Award-winning film professionals and seasoned academicians founded Nepal Film Campus, a private, specialised film education institution in Kathmandu. The campus is connected to Tribhuvan University (TU) and was founded in 2019 AD (2076 BS). It focuses on helping students who are interested in film, television, theatre, and digital media develop both practical and creative talents.
The campus provides a four-year Bachelor of Film Studies (BFS) program that blends academic understanding with practical filmmaking practice. Students can become proficient in a variety of fields, including sound production, editing, directing and scripting, acting, and cinematography. Through hands-on projects, seminars, and industry-focused learning, the program aims to prepare students for professional jobs in filmmaking and the larger creative and media sectors.
