Applicants must have successfully completed twelve years of schooling in any stream, with at least one mathematics subject carrying 100 marks at the 10+2 level.
They must have secured a minimum 'C' grade in each subject of grades 11 and 12, with a CGPA of 2.0 or higher. If the student took optional mathematics in grade 12, they must have secured at least a 'D+' grade in that subject.

The candidate must have obtained at least second division (45%) marks in 10+2, PCL, or any equivalent program in any discipline.
Students who have passed grade 11 and are awaiting the grade 12 supplementary exam (PURAK PARIKSHA) may also apply, but must submit all required documents during admission.
Students who have appeared in the final exam and are waiting for results and certificates can apply for the entrance examination, but they must also submit all necessary documents at the time of admission.
In the case of a foreign certificate, the applicant must submit an equivalency certificate and subject-wise grading with CGPA or total percentage from the concerned authority.
All applicants must pass the entrance examination conducted by Purbanchal University.
At Kuleshwor Height in Kathmandu, there is a private university called Kuleshwor Awas Campus (KAC). The campus is connected to Purbanchal University and was founded in 2023 AD (2080 BS). At the moment, information technology education is its main focus.
Programming, networking, databases, software engineering, cybersecurity, and IT management are all covered in the four-year, eight-semester Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) curriculum offered on campus.
