Candidates, who have successfully completed Bachelor's degree in any discipline from Tribhuvan University or from any other Universities recognized by TU are eligible for applying MPA programme.

The Faculty of Management (FoM) shall conduct a Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) for the MPA Programme.
Students eligible for the MPA program must sit in the CMAT in order to qualify for admission to the campuses offering the MPA programme.

The admission test comprises the following areas:

• Verbal Ability

• Quantitative Ability

• Logical Reasoning

• Administrative and General Awareness

• Short Essay

Students must submit the admission test request form along with testimonials (transcripts/mark-sheets, etc.) to the Central Department of Public Administration (CDPA). CDPA shall charge a fee for conducting the entrance test.

Students must submit their applications for admission to the campuses along with the score-sheet.
Public Administration Campus gives admission to students on the basis of a merit list.
The merit list is prepared by considering:

• The admission test score

• Percentage of marks obtained in the Bachelor’s degree

Applicants must enclose with the application form attested copies of:

• Certificates/testimonials of all examinations passed

• Equivalence, transfers and character certificates (wherever applicable)

• Two passport-sized photographs

Students with a twelve-year schooling or its equivalent (10+2 or PCL or equivalent program) in any discipline from any university, board, or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University are eligible to apply for this program.

Admission Criteria

Students are chosen based on merit, which is determined by a written test, a +2 or comparable score, and an interview.

Written test: Eligible applicants must take the admission exam administered by the Central Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University. The exam will adhere to worldwide testing protocols and standards. It covers the following topics:

• Verbal Ability
• Quantitative Ability
• Logical Reasoning
• General Awareness

There will be 100 (one hundred) objective questions in total, with 25 (twenty-five) questions in each part and a total weightage of 100 marks. To be eligible for the interview, students must score at least 40% on the written test.
Short-listed applicants will be those who scored above the cut-off point in the written test.
Only those on the short list will be interviewed and admitted.
