Central Department of Public Administration | Tribhuvan University

Within the Faculty of Management of Tribhuvan University (TU), the Central Department of Public Administration (CDPA) is a public academic department. Founded in 1985 AD as a distinct department devoted to public administration education, research, and training, it is situated in Balkhu, Kathmandu.

Public administration, public policy, governance, organisational behaviour, development management, human resource management, and local governance are the department's main areas of interest. Through TU's academic structure, it provides public administration programs such as M.Phil. and PhD programs. Additionally, the CDPA holds seminars, conferences, and research on public-sector challenges and governance.
