Central Department of Journalism and Mass Communication | Tribhuvan University

Tribhuvan University (TU), situated in Balkhu, Kathmandu, has a public/constituent academic department called the Central Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (CDJMC). The Central Department was founded in the early 2000s, and it developed from Nepal's official journalism education program, which started in 1976.

Journalism, mass communication, media studies, digital media, and communication research are the department's areas of expertise. BA, MA, MPhil, and PhD programs in journalism and mass communication are among the courses it provides. Through multimedia, video, podcasting, photography, and other media-production resources, the department blends academic research with hands-on training.
